Gabrielle Marie Goertz

Gabrielle Marie Goertz has arrived!!!

She was born at 9:49pm on February 15th, 2011. She was 19 inches long and weighed 7 lbs 9 ozs.

She is just perfect!!

My water broke at school at 12:10pm. Justin came and scooped me up and we headed for the hospital. We were in labor for 9 hours before we started pushing. Gabi arrived at 9:49pm. It was the greatest day of our lives. After Gabrielle arrived, Justin and I got to spend some quality family tme togther and prayed over our daughter the first of many times.

Gabi was welcomed by Glammy and G-Daddy, Yaya, Muggy, Aunt Staci, and Aunt Rachel. She has had many visitors, and as people visit, I will try to take their picture to record their first meeting together.

We love her so much and thank God for entrusting us with such a special gift.

38 Weeks

Here is the 38th week picture. We had to take it at the hospital because I went into labor the day we turned 38 weeks, Februay 15th, 2011.

36 Weeks!!

I can't believe that 36 weeks have gone by so quickly. In just a few short weeks our baby girl will be here. Heartburn is still rough and sleeping is a thing of the past, but we couldn't be happier. Oh and it has been decided that if she is born on Valentine's Day, her name will be Gabrielle Love instead of Gabrielle Marie.

I guess we'll see...

35 Weeks

35 Weeks!! Please know I am way too proud of this belly right now. The poor girl literally has no where

else to go!! Belly button has popped out and it is safe to say that this goose is cooked!!

We had my school shower on Friday and the shower in Tulsa on Saturday. What an awesome weekend!! Pic's to come. I am blown away by people's generosity. Justin and I got home yesterday afternoon and played with baby stuff all da and night-really.

Thank you to all the girls at work for such a fun shower and thank you to my best-Staci and all my close friends from college. I feel more like myself after spending a much needed weekend with you. I love you all so much. Wait until you see the pictures of the things that Jamie made for Gabi. Seriously I am speechless. Thank you all so much!! I love you!!

We are just about ready, and then all we'll need is a baby :)

34 Weeks

34 Weeks has finally arrived. Time feels like it is fly by really. We had a terrific time a Justin's work shower and at the shower the girls (Rachel, Roxxy, Ginger, and Cindy) threw on the 22nd. Wow!! I have never felt so special. Gabi is going to be spoiled by all the wonderful people in her life, that is certain!! Justin and I are having a blast trying to figure out how all the baby things work-it is too funny!!

Doctor said that he is a bit concerned about how big she is getting. He thinks she may be 5.5 or 6 lbs already. He has scheduled an ultrasound for February 9th, so we can see where we stand. Stay tuned, this could get exciting!!!

We can't wait to meet our precious girl, but would like to wait just a bit longer. At least until we get a car seat :)

Marvin F. Poer Baby Shower

We had the best time at the Marvin F. Poer Baby Shower. The ladies were so friendly and generous. We had a blast. Thank you all so much. Justin is so lucky to be able to work with each of you everyday. We can't wait to introduce Gabi to you.

33 Weeks

33 Weeks!! Only seven weeks to go. Feeling good. No stretch marks, but lots of swelling. Baby showers begin on Monday, and we are so excited!! Let the fun begin :)

32 Weeks

The belly is getting bigger and bigger. Only 8 weeks to go!!

31 Weeks

31 Weeks and can you see the pregnancy glow. The swelling is out of control now, but with school being back in session, hopefully the time will continue to go by quickly. I am actually looking forward to getting back in sape and working out after Gabi is born-please remind me of this then :)

New Year's Eve

Happy 2011 Everyone!! Justin and I brought in the new year with some great friends and we had a blast. It was so funny because last year my friend and I were having such a good time, we thought throwing bread at eachother in the bathroom was a good idea and well this year we were celebrating over ginger ale. Although, I felt much better on January 1st.

29 Weeks!!!

29 Weeks and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except for Baby Goertz :)

The 28 week doctor's appointment was on Tuesday and everything is moving along smoothly! Her heartbeat is 161 beats per minute. YAY!!

I seriously yelled, "Yes!!" When she told me my cervix was closed. I guess you never know how you're going to react until you're in that situation. But I assure you that if everything is still closed in 11 weeks, yes will not be the response.

The glucose test came back normal, so we get to sit back and enjoy the final 11 weeks of pregnancy.

The hustle and bustle of Christmas has moved in and as I was wrapping presents on the floor last night, not being able to reach the end of the wrapping paper for the big belly in the way, I just had to smile. The weird thing about pregnancy is that as it is getting closer to the end, the less the heartburn and the middle of the night dance parties bother me.

Because one day very soon, she will be here-which will be amazing and please understand that I cannot wait to meet her and see her, but it will be completely different, so while she is always with me and I get to feel her practicing her moves throughout the day, I will smile and savor this time, because I will never have it back.

Thank you God for this blessing and the blessing of being pregnant. May I remember your love and grace at 12:30 in the morning when I awake from heartburn and dance parties.

FLA Green Day

I love our staff and the holiday. I feel so blessed to work with so many wonderful individuals. The friendships and experiences shared with them are so precious. Thank you to my co-workers for being so terrific and loving. You are a blessing to so many.

Reuben and Julie's Wedding

Justin and I went to Reuben and julie's wedding on October 9th. It was awesome! Justin and Reuben work together, so I got to meet a lot of Justin's terrific co-workers and celebrate Reuben and Julie. They are such a wonderful couple. We also got to celebrate with Amanda and Jeff, who are fantastic! We had blast!

28 Weeks

28 Weeks and the belly button is holding on for dear life. Heartburn has moved in and Gabrielle (we're trying it out-still not decided) has decided that she is a tap dancer. Oh and she prefers the right side and only the right side. I webble wobble when I walk. :)

We are so blessed.

27 Weeks

27 Weeks!! Where does the time go? In the past week, Justin and I have driven over 33 hours (and survived-thank God for Saul, Cheryl, Justin, and pregnancy pillows), attended a very special wedding of close friends (Congratulations Ryan and Melanie Jones, spent time with family and friends, watched OSU get beat by OU, and baby is now the size of a head of cauliflower. What at terrific Thanksgiving 2010!! Oh and the baby is kicking like crazy and always in the same spot. Is that normal??

If you are wondering if that is a Chrsitmas shirt that you can barely see in the picture, you would be correct. It's the most wonderful time of the year, well Christmas and March 4th :) This weekend Justin and I decorated the inside and outside of the house for Christmas and put up the Christmas tree all while listening to Christmas music and drinking Hot Chocolate. Is beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Goertz house.

26 Weeks

Pregnancy lesson #26: What you look like no longer matters nearly as much as it once did. Once your belly hits a certain mark-can you spend too much time worrying about your looks? I look at myself in pictures now and it's kind of an out of body experience. In my head, I still look the same as I always have, you know-sans belly, but wow-when you see it in pictures. Wow!!

The belly sure is growing-the girl is 15 inches now and almost 2 pounds-now where did the other 28 pounds come from?? There is something very freeing about checking your ego at the door in order to take these pictures to capture this special occasion for your baby. Honestly, I might not have followed through if I didn't want to do this for her, but am so glad I have continued to take the pictures. It will be nice to have a record of this time and sometimes you just have to check yourself and realize that your figure just isn't as important as it once was. With that being said Happy Thanksgiving-I hope you all will enjoy the holiday and all it's glory with me. Because next year-it's back to watching the waistline :)

25 Weeks

25 weeks and the belly is growing. She has started moving a lot now and it feels so funny. How

do you explain to your baby that you are in an important meeting with your boss and now is not the time? I am learning one very important lesson of motherhood-you don't. You cannot explain anything to your baby nor would they understand. So as a mommy, you grin and pretend that your child hasn't decided that right then in the middle of your very important meeting will be the first time she decides to start kicking you-hard :)
