17 Weeks

Still looking tired, but loving pregnancy. Afraid I am going to have to start wearing maternity clothes pretty soon.
My Mom and Ric are coming in town this weekend to help us clean out the garage. One morning on my way to work, I tripped over a comforter and fell. It is so much different falling now because all you think abou tis protecting that baby. I threw my shoulder out of place and landed on my knee, but Baby Goertz was protected!! YAY!!

16 Week Check up

It's official...
Our doctor thinks I have lost my mind. Justin and I went to visit Baylor Frisco, where we believe we will have our baby, and can I tell you the lady running the show stopped to ask if I was alright because I looked like I was going to pass out and to be honest I probably was. She was talking about things that happen in the room where they happen and I was not at all ready to have all that knowledge.

My problem is that I'm a planner, so I am not ready to know things about the end of my pregnancy; However, being that I am a planner, I feel the need to get as much accomplished as possible.

Important news: Baby is completely wonderful. Her heart rate is 155 bpm and we will get an in depth sonogram at our 20 week appointment and find out it Baby Goertz is in fact a girl!!

16 Weeks

16 Weeks! Wow! I can hardly believe it. I have a bit of a confession, I have been taking my picture, or asking Justin to rather, 1sst thing in the morning, because I tend to get more pregnant throughout the day and unfortunately, this morning I think it came back to bit me becuase I look exhausted and the belly is still sticking out, so there you go. Our appointment is on Tuesday, so I'll have to post what the doctor says!

15 weeks

I promise I am not sticking the belly out. It used to be funny to stick my belly out, but now that it won't go back in, it's not so funny!!
As you can see the belly is growing, although I am going to have to start taking pictures with my shirt down, or I am afraid I will never hear the end of it from my future teenager!!
Next Tuesday we go in for our 16 week check up. I will keep you all updated.
But for now we are working on names... I never realized what a big decision naming your baby is.

Accents

Rumor has it that if your baby hears accents while in the belly, she is more likely to have an accent when she arrives and begins talking. Based on this information, I have decided that Justin needs to speak in only an Irish accent when around me or the baby until she starts talking. I really want her first sentence to be,"Top of the Morning to ya!" I would do it, but my accent skills aren't as developed as my lovely husbands.

I am pretty sure this is not too much to ask.

Your support is appreciated and if you, too, would like to speak with an accent, much is appreciated-although Irish is preferred!!

Week 14

Wow!! That baby is growing. I decided that I would wear all of my old clothes to work at least once before breaking out the maternity gear and am having to get very creative. My shirts are no longer buttoning!!-Well, at least not after lunch.

We couldn't be happier.

Week 13 Sonogram pictures

I can't figure out how to fix that picture, but the doctor says she is doing great. Based on her length, she is 7.8 centimeters, she is measuring about a week early, so she is 13 weeks, 6 days based on her measurement. She is strong and healthy with 2 arms, 2 legs, and is moving and stretching in there.
Oh and yes, we are tentitively calling her a she because the doctor is 99% sure it's a GIRL!!! He pointed to a white horizontal line that he said means Baby Goertz will be a girl. Justin will be standing by for any support or advice you have. I think he was a bit more than shocked that he is going to have a daughter :)
We will find out for sure in October-until then we are only buying unisex baby things, just to be safe.
